Mythpaw padded into the den, her normal open attitude clouded by a fog of seriousness. This was probably the most important thing she would ever do in her life.
"Crowstar." She mewed, voice wobbling slightly. She wanted this so much. "Please... can I be the medicine cat apprentice?" She finally cracked under the embarrassment and said in a long rush, "I would be obedient, and always put my Clan first. I will learn all the herbs and be loyal to my mentor. I'm not old enough to be Medicine cat, so could I be the apprentice? I couldn't ask the medicine cat because there isn't one yet..." She finally broke off, and shuffled her feet. StarClan, this was so hard. And she wanted it so bad. It was her destiny, she knew it.
