A flicker of shadow crossed the bottom of the ravine, hasty movements as a rather burly tom came ionto view. The dark brown and gray tabby tom lept up the slope onto the higher landing, and in one swift movement propelled himself to the edge of the boulder that embedded itself in the ravine wall. Moonhigh was almost here, after all, and two amber eyes scanned the clearing impatiently. As if his Clan shouldn't need a calling to gather in the ravine below the overhang of the boulder. He didn't have time to wait tonight; it was nearly time to announce his decision to the rest of his following, and he was rather keen to finish it sooner rather then later. Taking barely a moment to collect an air supply, Shrewstar perched himself on the tip of the Rocky Overhang and yowled his command.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here below the Rocky Ledge for a Clan meeting!" [/blockquote]

Twigpaw curiously padded over to the area, wondering what the meeting was about. Most likely the deputy thing. His white fur mixed with his brown tabby stripes passing every branch. Now snow was gone and twigs didn't look the same, so he couldn't camouflage well. He padded in the area and watched his leader above him.

A small she-cat stumbled out of the Apprentice's Den. Her white tail was bristling with a little excitement, but the rest of her fur lied flat. These words reminded her of her previous Clan, and the eleven-moon-old she-cat had a brief smile on her face. Yet under that ledge, and her leader, the smile faded to a respectful gaze. Icepaw was very careful around her new Clan, and she was determined to make a good impression with anyone. So far, so good.
Icepaw sat down and turned to lick the fur flat on her tail. The rest of her coat reflected the waxing moonlight, and made her white coat glow. Patches of dark gray - one on the cap of her head and neck, and the other at the base of her tail - stood out against the glowing white coat. It showed she was not perfect - and she liked that. When she turned her narrow maw back up to her leader, her eyes glowed like burning saphire. She had striking eyes over all.

//Blackrose//
Blackrose drifted over the rocks, her sleek dark pelt gleaming like ebony in the soft moonlight. She sat down next to Twigpaw, and, more out of courtesy than a willing to do so, muttered, "Hi. Is this your medicine cat ceremony or what?" She didn't have very good social skills, and she knew it.
//Willpaw//
Willpaw sauntered out of the shadows. His powerful-looking paws carried him to the edge of the ravine. He took a look around the clearing, taking in every cat's position and whether he should bother with them.
Shrewstar - Ok, he was the Clan leader. Big deal. Willpaw didn't have much regard for power. He resented authority. That was who he was. A rebel.
Twigpaw - His denmate. He wasn't too bad, he mused. But if you asked Willpaw, he'd say his heart wasn't in a warrior's role. And what else could you be if you weren't a warrior? Anything else was boring, in his view.
Icepaw - She was an apprentice too, and really pretty, he had to admit. But she was older than him, and he didn't like that much... but maybe he could get over that. Who could resist him, after all?
Forayslash - And this was where Willpaw stuck. He didn't like that cat. Something about him... he didn't know him well enough, that must be it. But he respected him in a reluctant sort of way. He was strong and powerful. And that won battles.
((sorry if I offended anyone, Willpaw's a bit weird!))

just another RAiNY DAY.
Forayslash padded silently up, it almost appeared as if he were gliding through the air, just enough above the ground where you could hardly see it. As he reached the foot of the rocky overhang, he sat down without a sound. It seemed like this cat never spoke, never moved, never really did anything except keep to himself his whole life. He took a few steps toward Icepaw, eager to speak to someone. "Hello, Icepaw," He whispered, it was obvious his voice had not been used in quite a while.

Icepaw glanced over at Forayslash. Her heart stopped for a second, but the fear left her quickly. She wasn't used to half of these dark cats yet. The apprentice dipped her head respectfully, "Hello, Forayslash." She murmured softly.

Twigpaw's mind began to wonder, when he'd get his warrior name. His leader said soon, and that'd it be a good name. Twigpaw, though, was really going somewhere else tonight, before anyone else knew. He's not a secretive cat, but this was unneeded to be known.
Trying to blend in he decided to talk to his denmate, Willpaw. His sharp and long black claws shown but quickly where sheathed again.His solid stare, and cold look right at the cat. He could sense a bratty emotion, one that annoys most others. He sat down and a voice of his own spoke.
"Hello there Willpaw, do you happen to know when you're getting your name? Or how many more moons to go?" he asked in a curious, strong voice. His gaze met Willpaw's, making sure no lie or fake shall pass easily.

Willpaw smiled to himself. "Twigpaw. I'm sure you'll beat me to getting a warrior name. But I won't be very far behind, I think. I'm a moon younger than you, anyway. The strength of youth, huh?" He purred, stretching his claws out in a satisfyed way. He figured Twigpaw was a little mistrusting of him. But that didn't matter.
Willpaw wasn't bratty, just rebellious, rogueish and daring. He knew his place was to not have a place, to object and dare to do things. He would resort to violance if he needed to. But he was loyal. Loyal to... what though?

"Not more than 2 weeks apart," he silently commented t Willpaw, "I really wonder what it's going to be, especially since I'm not being named by the lea-" he bit his tongue, "Lead day." he replied softly. His mind wandered, he said too much, what if this cat even follows him to his journey?
He sighed, thoughts blaring his ears but the silence outside was alone. "I hope you didn't think I was bragging, did you?" he kindly mewed not trying to be abnoxious or anything, but to stand strong even with the memories of pain and heart-break.

Willpaw sensed something was wrong. His voice was... clouded. Troubled. "Are you ok?" He murmered doubtfully. "Not that I care, but... you seem distracted. Anyway... I thought you were, actually. This is DarkClan, after all." He gave a hollow laugh, that sounded a little sullen.

[ Before I do ceremonies, does anyone need one for their cats? Just curious. xD ]
Batpaw trotted down the ravine, going straight from camp not far uphill to the ceremony. His golden amber eyes were glowing as he saw his ste-brother, Shrewstar, sitting so proudly atop the Rocky Overhang above his head. Some cats might say he acted a little... as if he was better than them. But hey, he was the only kin to their leader.
Spotting Icepaw, the black tom licked a forepaw before padding casually over. It only took half a moment for his flirtacious instincts to seize control of the situation. "Hey, Icepaw," He purred, nodding at the pretty white she-cat as he sat down beside her. Giving her a smirk-like grin, the tom wrapped him tal around his forepaws. and met her gaze with a twinkle in his eye. [/blockquote]

Twigpaw shuffled his paws, "Sorry, I just have the need to tell!" he chuckled a little but was kind of serious. He tried his best to ignore the question, then he decided to whisper something, "I'm going to be the new Medicine cat, I've always wanted to be one too! I never thought I even could be, but it seems I know more than I thought."
His eyes hide a secret of some sort. Then his memories made him wince and go stunned, hitting the ground, but he shook his head clear. Pride. That's what he should feel, he told himself as he got back up. His eyes where blank yet when you looked into them you HEARD water, rushing water.

Willpaw stared into the other tom's eyes for a moment, unable to stop himself. His own grew unfocused, as if he was wrapped up in his own pain, his own troubles... but in a moment they were gone and he snapped his million-volt attention back to Twigpaw.
"Uh... I guess if that's what suits you. Frankly, I can't imagine being anything other than a warrior. A medicine cat is too - soft. But" He yawned, unconcernedly, "If you do it, then make it worth all our time and do it well. Don't waste our time."
His voice dropped, and became soft and reluctant. "Make me proud to be called your friend."

Twilightsong silently padded out of the warriors den and sat at the back behind the apprentices. She glared up at the leader and gave a few licks to her chest. Twilightsong's jet black pelt was ruffled from her rough night and smoothed it quickly. She wondered what this would be about, maybe the new medicine cat apprentice, who would it be? She thought as more cats joined the clearing.
